KAPOLEI, Oahu (AP) — Honolulu firefighters had a rough morning Sunday as they battled a house fire in Kapolei, saving two family dogs.
The fire broke out just before 9 a.m. Sunday at a two-story, multi-family structure on Kamaaha Loop.
Firefighters on scene saw smoke and flames coming from the building. No one was home expect for the two pets. The blaze was extinguished at 9:44 a.m.
Officials say damage was estimated at $80,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
