Police say a man whose body was found Sunday in Captain Cook was a victim of foul play.

Police say a man whose body was found Sunday in Captain Cook was a victim of foul play.

He was identified through fingerprints as 69-year-old Dolores Borja Valle of Holualoa.

An autopsy conducted Tuesday determined Valle died from sharp and blunt force trauma to the head and that the manner of death was homicide.

Kona police detectives have reclassified the case to murder and continue to investigate.

Valle’s body was found in a coffee field off Keopuka Mauka Road.
