The College of Continuing Education and Community Service at the University of Hawaii at Hilo will present a free public lecture on how writers can successfully promote their work.
The presentation will be 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday in UCB Room 100.
“This One Weird Trick Will Put You on the Bestseller List: 21st Century Publishing and the Rise of the ‘authorpreneur,’” is intended for anyone interested in the business of writing. Dr. Emmeline de Pillis, professor of management in the College of Business and Economics, will discuss strategies to reach readers.
De Pillis has published in outlets including the Journal of Education for Business, Communications of the ACM, College Student Journal and the Journal of Corporate Citizenship. Her first novel, “The Musubi Murder,” was released by Five Star, a division of Cengage.
