Details: Hilo Vet Center is participating in this year’s National Day of Service and Remembrance by hosting an open house to help ensure all post-9/11 combat veterans and their families in Hilo know about their local vet center and the services it provides. 2015 WILIWILI FESTIVAL

VOLCANO WINERY HARVEST FESTIVAL/BENEFIT FOR VOLCANO SCHOOL OF ARTS & SCIENCES

Details: The grapes are in, which means it’s time for the annual Volcano Winery Harvest Festival. Once again the festival is a benefit for Volcano School of Arts & Sciences. Enjoy an afternoon of wine, music. There will be a dessert raffle; receive a souvenir wine glass; and, of course, plenty of wine from the vineyards will be flowing. Tickets are $40 for adults and $20 for children. All proceeds will go to support STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) programs at Volcano School of Arts & Sciences public charter school. Ticket sales are limited, so don’t delay getting yours.
