Police last week arrested a woman who was the subject of a recent wanted bulletin.
Cristinalynn Kainani Wakita was taken into custody Aug. 13 at a residence on Mill Road in the Papaikou area.
A 39-year-old Papaikou man, Paul Guiteras, also was present at the home and taken into custody after he interfered with officers attempting to arrest Wakita, police said.
Police say Wakita was involved in the theft of a 1995 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck June 25 from a business on Old Mamalahoa Highway in Papaikou. Officers reportedly saw her driving the stolen truck four days later on Mill Road, but she evaded officers and fled.
The truck later was recovered at a 32nd Avenue home in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision.
On Aug. 14, Wakita was charged with second-degree burglary, second-degree theft, unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, fraudulent use of a license plate, resisting an order to stop, reckless driving, driving without a license, and resisting arrest.
Her bail was set at $15,000.
Guiteras was charged with felony hindering prosecution. His bail was set at $10,000.
