Lady Vuls host meet Saturday
The UH-Hilo women’s cross country team opens its season Saturday, hosting the Hilo Invitational at 7:45 a.m. at Hilo Naniloa Golf Course.
Also participating in the women’s race are Brigham Young University-Hawaii, Chaminade, and Hawaii Pacific. BYU-Hawaii, Chaminade and HPU will run the men’s race.

The Nobu Yamauchi RBI Organization is having sign-ups to fill their T-ball (born May 1, 2009 to April 30, 2011), mustang (May 1, 2005-April 30, 2008) and girls softball teams (grades 8-12).

’Riders storm back, top Keaau
Kealakehe won its first BIIF volleyball match in exciting fashion Tuesday, coming back to beat Keaau 25-23, 23-25, 25-21 in Kailua-Kona.
“We talk about focus and making plays, but we are a young team and sometimes get distracted,” Waveriders coach Duke Hartfield told West Hawaii Today. “Keaau played us pretty consistently.”
Down by nine points in the final set, Kealakehe (1-1) rallies against Keaau (1-1) lead with their service game, led by senior Nika Paogofie-Buyten.
