Suspected killer to be extradited
HONOLULU (AP) — A 19-year-old man arrested on an out-of-state warrant agreed to return to Tennessee.
Brandon Horton, whose father is a U.S. Army sergeant assigned to Hawaii, appeared in state court Monday where he waived his right to challenge extradition. He was arrested Thursday at a home on the Aliamanu Military Reservation where he was living with his father and stepmother.
Horton is wanted in Tennessee in connection to the March 30 shooting death of 19-year-old Craig Lambert.

Dyer, who published more than 40 books, died Sunday at his home in Hawaii as the result of a heart attack, his publicist, Lindsay McGinty said.
Kauai lawmaker pleads no contest
HONOLULU (AP) — State Rep. James Tokioka is pleading no contest to filing an incomplete and inaccurate campaign committee report.
Tokioka also is agreeing to pay a $1,000 fine.
Attorney General Doug Chin told reporters after a court hearing Monday his office pursued the case in part because of complaints from the public.
The Kauai lawmaker and his defense attorney say the complaint was motivated by Tokioka’s opponents in the 2014 elections. They say he never deliberately tried to deceive the public.
