Albert John DeMotta Sr., 81, of Pepeekeo died Aug. 27 at home. Born in Hilo, he was retired from the former Hilo Coast Processing Co., worked for Isemoto Contracting and on Johnston Island, was a Hawaii Army National Guard veteran and enjoyed hunting, fishing and senior baseball. Visitation 6-9 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 5) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service/celebration of life at 7 p.m. Survived by wife, Mary R. Rios of Pepeekeo; sons, Nelson DeMotta of Hilo, Tommy Anduha of Hawaiian Paradise Park and Sheldon DeMotta of Pepeekeo; daughters, Lena (Wade) Carver and Shaylyn DeMotta of California, Eileen (Elroy) Rodrigues of Hilo, Terry (Kelsey) Valenciano of Texas and Stacie Anduha of Kona; 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
