Police are investigating a domestic violence incident Friday evening in which a gun was reportedly involved.

Police are investigating a domestic violence incident Friday evening in which a gun was reportedly involved.

Officers responded to a report of an argument between a husband, 41-year-old Ben L. Domingo of Volcano and his wife that escalated into a critical incident due to Domingo possessing a firearm.

The Special Response Team, the department’s SWAT unit, responded while members of the Crisis Negotiation Team communicated with the occupants of the residence throughout the night, and on Saturday morning Domingo was arrested without incident.

No major road closures occurred and nearby residences were evacuated during this incident.

Domingo was charged with kidnapping, violating a protective order, four counts of first-degree terrorisitic threatening, and two counts of prohibited ownership of a firearm.

His bail was set at $117,000 and his initial court appearance is this afternoon.
