Casimiro “Miro” Yadao Carpio, 79, of Kapaau died Aug. 23 at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Sanchez Mira, Cagayan, Philippines, he was a retired housekeeper for Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, worked for Island Harvest, and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Kohala Kumiai. All-night vigil from 4 p.m. Friday (Sept. 11) at family home, 54-367 Union Mill Rd., Kapaau. Visitation 8-9:30 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 12) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hawi. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawi County Cemetery. Casual attire.
