The Hawaii County Fair presented by the Hilo Jaycees runs today through Sunday on the grounds of Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium. The hours are 5:30 p.m.-midnight today, 10 a.m.-midnight Saturday and 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $6 each day for teens and adults, $2.50 for children ages 4-12. Seniors ages 60 and older with ID and children 3 and younger are admitted free. Ride coupons are $1.50 apiece and $15 for a sheet of 10 coupons; ride prices are two, three or four coupons, depending on the ride.

Saturday is wristband day. A 10-ride wristband is $30 and must be purchased by 2:30 p.m., but the ride tabs are valid until 6 p.m. or until all 10 tabs are gone, whichever occurs first.
