Antone “Tony” Nobriga Borero Jr., 82, of Mountain View died Sept. 8 at a care home. Born in Papaikou, he was a retired construction worker and member of Laborers’ International Union of North America Local 368. Services held. Survived by son, Michael (Donnie) Borero of Hawaiian Paradise Park; daughter, Barbara Borero of Arizona; sisters, Rose Salas of Waianae, Oahu, Helen Borero of Long Beach, Calif., and Emily Rhodes of Pepeekeo; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Henry Magno, 81, of Hilo died Aug. 28 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Olaa, he was a retired customer service representative for Hawaii Electric Light Co. and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and HELCO golf club. Services held. No koden (monetary gifts). Harry Victor Martin, 78, of Hilo died Sept. 4 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a supervisor for Isemoto Contracting Co., Yamada &Sons Construction Co. employee, Hawaii Army National Guard veteran and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. George Hiroshi Sakai, 90, of Hilo died Aug. 28 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Hilo, he was proprietor of the former Aqua &Aviary Hobbyist, dba Sakai Pet Shop and member of Taishoji Soto Mission and Komohana Kumiai.
