Petronilo Alip Bilog, 99, of Naalehu died Aug. 16 at Ka‘u Hospital in Pahala. Born in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, he was a heavy equipment mechanic for the former Ka‘u Sugar Co. and member of Naalehu Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Naalehu Filipino Community Club and Naalehu Senior Citizen Club. Visitation 8-10 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 19) at Naalehu Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Burial at Naalehu Community Cemetery. Survived by wife, Heronica Bilog of Naalehu; daughter, Elisa “Lisa” (Hermen) Naboa of Naalehu; sons, Modesto (Frances) Bilog of California and Galen (Remely) Bilog of Maui; brother, Anselmo (Marcela) Bilog of Naalehu; sisters-in-law, Dominga Bilog of Philippines and Maria Cachola of California; five grandchildren and five-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Rita Gambsky Fernandez, 63, of Glenwood died Sept. 5 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a homemaker, retired cook and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Mountain View. Visitation 6–9 p.m. Monday (Sept. 21) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation again 9-10 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 22) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Prayer service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire. Leirima “Lei” Rutha Isabel, 86, of Hilo died Sept. 4 at a private care home in Hilo. Born in Kalaoa, Papaikou, she was a retired state employee. No services. Survived by sons, Rodney (Paula) Isabel and Alan Isabel; four grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Betty Ann Keala, 84, of Honolulu died Aug. 30 in Honolulu. Born in Hilo, she was the retired owner of a computer assembly company. Services held. Survived by husband, Francis A. Keala; daughter, Frances A. (Keala) Rothwell; sons John R. Keala and R. Mark Keala; brother Carl Richard Lyman; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
