A fifth day of searching Saturday ended with no sign of a 62-year-old woman who went missing Monday while swimming at Boiling Pots above Hilo.
According to a written Fire Department statement, the search included a county helicopter and ground crew. Swift-water rescuers were limited by the swollen waters of the Wailuku River of deploying beyond the vicinity of the spot where the woman’s male companion last saw her floating on an inner-tube before she disappeared.
According to the statement, the helicopter search continues today for the woman’s body without ground support.
