Maglio and Nikki Taylor (11 kills) each compiled five blocks for the Rainbow Wahine (2-10).

After running away from 10-10 tie to win the first set, Hawaii dominated Game 2, scoring 17 of the first 21 points. Ahead 22-15 in the third set, Annie Mitchem reeled off all three of her kills to close out the match.

All 14 Rainbow Wahine who suited up played.

Olivia Magill finished with eight kills and Tai Manu-Olevao had six as Hawaii hit .391.

Kelsee Sawyer had 10 kills for Bakersfield (2-10).

Hawaii opens Big West Conference play Friday against UC Santa Barbara (4-7) at home. On Saturday, UH hosts Cal Poly (8-3).

UH (2-6-1) twice tied the match only to fall right back behind.

Raisa Strom-Okimoto also scored for UH, tying the match in the 63rd minute. Less than 90 seconds later, Nikki Mitsuyasu gave the Wolf Pack (3-4-1) the lead again.
