Alois “Al” Joseph James Strand III, 51, of Milolii died Aug. 15 at home. Born in Milwaukee, he was retired owner of Las Vegas Party Tents and member of Las Vegas Hospitality Association, Convention Service Association of Las Vegas, International Special Events Society, National Association for Catering and Events, Wedding Professionals of Las Vegas, Las Vegas Wedding Network, Vegas Wedding Guild and Lambda Las Vegas, and involved with Opportunity Village, Make a Wish Foundation, and Susan G. Komen Southern Nevada. Private service held. Survived by life partner, Mark Wothe of Milolii; brothers, Frank (Kathy) Strand of Niagara, Wis., and Tony (Dianna) Strand of Las Vegas; a niece and a nephew. Arrangements by Cremation Services of West Hawaii.
