A 31-year-old woman died Tuesday morning after falling out of a car Monday evening in Kailua-Kona.

A 31-year-old woman died Tuesday morning after falling out of a car Monday evening in Kailua-Kona.

She was identified as Keri Flores of Kailua-Kona.

Officers responding to a 7:41 p.m. call Monday determined Flores was a passenger in a 2015 Nissan Sentra traveling east on Manawalea Street when she fell out of the passenger side.

Flores was taken to Kona Community Hospital, then flown to The Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu, where she was pronounced dead at 7:39 a.m. Tuesday.

An autopsy has been ordered and police will wait for the results before counting this death toward the official traffic fatality count.
