‘Imiloa Astronomy Center welcomes magician Ron Ishimaru for two performances of special keiki magic shows at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Applying science, technology, engineering and mathematics, or STEM, principles to his show, Ishimaru will bring an extensive bag of tricks for keiki of all ages. Each 30-minute show will be followed by a hands-on demonstration in which audience members will learn how to do a couple of magic tricks.

Entrance fee to the shows will be included in the general admission cost; members enter free.

Born and raised in Hilo, Ishimaru is a retired engineer and currently resides on Oahu. He has performed throughout the country and internationally.

Ishimaru also is involved in numerous national organizations for magicians and for the past 20 years, he has been a magic instructor, adviser and mentor to many young magicians in Hawaii.
