Fire rescuers searched a second day in vain on Sunday for a fisherman swept off a cliff by a wave Saturday afternoon in Hawaiian Paradise Park.
Rough seas and poor visibility hampered search-and-rescue operations both Saturday and Sunday.
Bystanders told fire rescue personnel they last saw the man about 50 yards offshore from where he was washed out to sea off Paradise Ala Kai Drive.
The search is expected to resume at daybreak today.
