Aloha Teen Theatre, the youth component of Aloha Performing Arts Company, will present “The Audition,” a new play by Don Zolidis directed by ATT adviser Engela Edwards.

In this contemporary comedy, a theater teacher is auditioning actors for a show. The hopefuls range from shy to outrageous, and from diva-like to determined. It is a hilarious look at the madness of auditioning and the actors who brave the process in the hopes of snagging that perfect role.

Edwards is assisted by Rachel Edwards, and the cast includes Christian Stirling, Erika Neilson, Hali‘a Locke-Nascimeno, Kiana Ching, Kimmee Jankanish, Lily Cho, Lydia Robbins, Olivia Loney, Riley Newton and Zea Levine.

“The Audition” will be presented for three performances only, at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 24 and 25 and Nov. 1 at the Aloha Theatre in Kainaliu.

Tickets are $5 for those 17 and younger, $10 for those 18 and older, and can be purchased online at apachawaii.org, by phone from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, or at the theater box office beginning at 1:30 p.m. each performance day.
