The Exhibit, a new art gallery in Downtown Hilo, will host a special “Dia de los Muertos” show Oct. 31-Nov. 30.

The exhibition will feature works by Jacob Medina, Nathan Allen, Rich Rodriguez and Evan Clarke.

Medina is of Mexican descent and was born on the Day of the Dead.

“I’m really excited to have a venue to show my work around this time, which is so significant to my heritage,” Medina said. “It gives me a space to showcase my influence from the Mexican tradition and lately my work has been combining this style with subjects from my life here in Hawaii. I’m really enjoying the result and I’m happy The Exhibit is providing a place where I can share it with people.”

The Exhibit is located at 168-D Keawe St. and is open most evenings. Special hours and events are scheduled for the “Dia de los Muertos” show which include:
