Clifford Kenji Shigeoka, 71, of Escondido, Calif., and formerly of Hilo died Oct. 18 in Escondido. Born in Hilo, he was a retired engineer for Boeing and Cubic Engineering, civil servant for the U.S. Navy and former president of the Southern District Buddhist Churches of America and Vista Buddhist Temple. No services. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by wife, Blanche Shigeoka; sons, Iain (Pamela) Shigeoka and Orin Shigeoka, daughter, Cassie (Ethan) Minot; brother, Dennis (Karen) Shigeoka of Hilo; sisters, Edna (Walter) Murasaki of Hilo and Dianne (Gary) Hara of Honolulu; sister-in-law, Sue Shigeoka of California; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Ellen Marie Stovall, 65, of Kailua-Kona died July 27 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired store supervisor. Private services.
