Participants were educated about several topics during the evening. The seafood-focused dinner celebrated Hawaii Seafood Month, highlighting local seafood and fishermen at restaurants, retailers and seafood businesses statewide.
In addition, guests learned about Hawaii Community College and its alumni and friends group and its efforts to raise money to fund a scholarship endowment for students.
Finally, Easter Seals Hawaii information was shared and donations accepted to support the organization’s individualized, family-centered services to empower people with disabilities or special needs to achieve their goals and live independent, fulfilling lives.
At the end of the evening, Living Hilo Style was able to collect donations totaling $995 for Easter Seals Hawaii.
The mission of Living Hilo Style is to use its love for friendship, food and community to support local businesses, organizations, entrepreneurs and worthy causes that make Hilo a fabulous place to live.
