Police have arrested a 31-year-old Mountain View man wanted for a Halloween night assault in Hilo.

Kallen Imade turned himself in to police Tuesday and was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault.

He’s being held in the cellblock while detectives investigate.

At 11:30 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a report of an unconscious man in a parking lot on the 100 block of Hema Street. Witnesses reported that the victim had been involved in an affray with another man and that the other man had left the area.

The victim, a 49-year-old Hilo man, was taken to Hilo Medical Center with a head injury, and later transferred to The Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu, where he remains in critical condition.
