Dominos Pizza Waimea will sponsor a “dough-raiser” event on Tuesday.

On all orders, 10 percent will be donated to the Waimea Athletics Organization to benefit community programs and events.

Igawa’s 64 leads way at tourney

Chris Igawa shot a 64 to claim the lowest gross score, while Total Recs took the team title team during a recent Hilo Muni Golf Club six-person tournament at Hilo Municipal Golf Course.

The winning team members were Toni Suenishi, Darrel Yamamoto, Ted Young, Kirk Rapozo, Charlie Ikeda and Carl Hiraki.

The men’s net winners were, A-Flite: Kirk Rapozo (60), Gerard Ueyama (62) and Brian Ebanez (64); and B-Flite: Wayne Kodani (61), Damien Kim (61), and Brian Wong (61).

Suzanne Lee (61), Ruth Hamakawa (64), and Phyllis Funada (65) were the women’s low net winners.

The tournament was sponsored by the Hawaii Island Golf Association, and cash prizes were awarded.

Free soccer clinic at Wong

The County Department of Parks and Recreation will host a free soccer clinic from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at Wong Stadium.

The Chevy Youth Soccer Instructional Clinic is open to the first 200 keiki ages 6-14 who register.

Sign up at soccer. youthsportsclinics.com, select Hawaii and enter the password “kickit” to register.

A signed waiver form, available from the same website, also is required. Waiver forms will be offered at the event.

Wrestling clinic at Hilo Civic

The 10th annual Wrestling Clinic and Take Down Event will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.

Admission is free.

The event was previously held in Puna, but because of the high attendance last year, a bigger venue was sought.

Onsite registration runs from 7:30-8 a.m. Nov. 7.

The event is open to males and females from ages 5 and up. Keiki ages 5-12 will have a separate clinic.

All minors are required to have parent or legal guardian consent to participate in one or both activities, and parents/legalguardian must also be present at this event.

All participants, including coaches and clinicians, must have a current medical insurance card, wear shoes (wrestling or hightops), T-shirt and shorts or wrestling singlet to participate in both events.

The event is sponsored by BIIF volunteers, County Parks and Recreation, HI-PAL, Big Island Honda, USA Wrestling Coaches and the Neighborhood Place of Puna Youth Empowerment Services members.
