Island Faith Center Foursquare Church in Papaaloa is seeking singers and actors for its community Christmas celebration and dramatic musical performance “Under a Starry Sky.”
Those interested in performing should call Pastor Mary Jo Stevenson Fullen at 345-2456. The performance is scheduled for Dec. 20.
Rehearsals will be 11:30 a.m. Sundays in Laupahoehoe and 6 p.m. Wednesdays in Honomu.
The musical features adult and children’s parts. The play is a contemporary drama about a family who, through the prayers of the little girl and the experience of the mom traveling “back to the manger,” discover the answers to their current crisis and the true meaning of Christmas.
“Our goal is to bless the people of the Laupahoehoe/Papaaloa community with a delightful and uplifting Christmas celebration,” Stevenson Fullen said. “We wish to draw people together like family and share the joy Christmas.”
