LOS ANGELES (AP) — Media giant 21st Century Fox said Tuesday that it is licensing a range of its favorite movie and TV show characters to a theme park planned to open in Dubai in 2018.
The 20th Century Fox World Dubai will consist of lands and attractions based on Fox properties “Ice Age,” ”Rio,” ”Planet of the Apes,” ”Aliens,” ”Predator,” ”Night at the Museum,” ”Titanic,” ”The Simpsons,” and “Sons of Anarchy.”
The list doesn’t include “Avatar,” which is being built into a themed land at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, which aims to open in 2017.
The Dubai park will be the second Fox theme park following one under construction in Malaysia.
Real estate and construction company Al Ahli Holding Group, which is behind the Dubai Outlet Mall, will build the park.
