Edward “Haole Boy” Kahikinolio Cariaga, 56, of Pahala died Oct. 12 at Ka‘u Hospital. Born in Honolulu, he was a self-employed opihi picker and vegetable farmer and member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Celebration of life at 10 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 21) at Ka‘u Meat Market, 98-3232 Maile St., Pahala, across from the former sugar mill. Casual attire; no flowers. David Ernest Gonsalves, 61, of Papaaloa died Nov. 1 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Laupahoehoe, he was a manager and salesperson for the former Hilo Hattie and front desk supervisor at Kamuela Inn. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Papaaloa. Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Ookala Catholic Cemetery. Casual attire; no flowers.
