HOT is celebrating its seventh year of performing benefit choral concerts for charities and nonprofit social services, continuing to be cool women making HOT music for a good cause.
“We’re calling these concerts ‘With Harmony And Justice For All,’ and we’re proud to be singing for the Friends of the CJC,” said HOT director Jeri Gertz. “They offer hope, encouragement and opportunity to victims of child abuse. We have some terrific new music, ranging from barbershop to folk, pop and jazz, including songs chosen to reflect the theme of justice for children.”
The family friendly program is about an hour long. Children younger than 10 will be admitted free, and they can choose a free stuffed animal to take home.
The concerts are set for 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday (Nov. 20-21) at the First United Protestant Church on Waianuenue Avenue in Hilo. Tickets are offered for a $15 tax-deductible suggested donation and are available from group members, at the door or at Basically Books in Downtown Hilo.
