Etta Kinue “Kay” Hashimoto, 84, of Makakilo, Oahu, and formerly of Mountain View died Nov. 2 on Oahu. Born on Hawaii Island, she was a homemaker and cook, member of the Makakilo Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and former member of the Mountain View Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Services on Saturday, Dec. 5, at Kapolei Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1005 Lauia St, Kapolei. Visitation 5:45-6:15 p.m. and discourse at 6:15 p.m. Survived by son, Paul Hashimoto of Makakilo; daughter-in-law, Cathy Hashimoto of Hilo; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Brock James Hylton, 92, of Kailua-Kona died Nov. 11 at Hospice of Kona Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa. Born in Cleveland, he was president, creative director and co-owner of Island Studios Hawaii, formerly Hylton Creative Group, and a pilot, photographer, artist and Army Air Force World War II veteran. Survived by wife, Mary Ann Hylton of Kailua-Kona; stepdaughters, Laurie Pettingill of Colorado and Dana Durant of California; daughters, Sandra Kraner and Sue Mangus of Missouri; sons, Richard Brockway and Mark Brockway of Missouri; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Frank Gregory Lopez, 84, of Hilo died Nov. 14 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Makaweli, Kauai, he was a retired state highways maintenance worker and U.S. Army veteran. Hetty Elisabeth Vanderhook, 91, died Nov. 14 in Bacarra, Philippines. Born in Surabaya, Indonesia, she is a former Hawaii Island resident. Farewell celebration in the Philippines. Survived by four children, two grandchildren, two nephews and two nieces.
