Furlough inmate Scottie Yanagawa failed to return from a day pass to the Hale Nani Reintegration Center. Yanagawa left this morning and was scheduled to return at 2 p.m. State sheriffs and police were notified.

Furlough inmate Scottie Yanagawa failed to return from a day pass to the Hale Nani Reintegration Center. Yanagawa left this morning and was scheduled to return at 2 p.m. State sheriffs and police were notified.

Yanagawa is 29, 5-foot-5 tall and weighs 165 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Yanagawa is serving time for theft and burglary. His next parole hearing is scheduled for May 2016. He faces an additional escape charge when found.

Yanagawa is a community custody inmate in the work furlough program with pass privileges. Community custody is the lowest classification status.
