Roy “Dickie” John Fontes, 74, of Hilo died Nov. 12 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hilo, he worked for Orchid Isle Auto Center and was a Hawaii Army National Guard veteran and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation 8:30-10 a.m. Thursday (Dec. 3) at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by wife, Young Fontes; daughter, Rochelle Grantz; son, Chad (Maki) Fontes; sister, Lorraine Duarte; brother, Wendell (Darnell) Fontes; three grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Elizabeth Anne Okinaka, 82, of Glenwood died Oct. 13 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Kunkletown, Pa., she was a retired Oahu real estate agent on Oahu and member of the East Hawaii Doll Club.
