Catherine Mary Creason, 54, of Hilo died Nov. 22 at home. Born in St. Helena, Calif., she was a homemaker. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 6 p.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by son, Leighton Balbin of Hilo; daughter, Rachel Balbin of Hilo; brothers, Jim Creason of Arizona, Tim Creason and Jeff Creason of California; sisters, Mary Madrigal of Mountain View and Debbie (Wilkie) Hayashida of Keaau; four granddaughters and two grandsons; nieces and nephews. Namie Honda, 93, of Hilo died Nov. 1 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pahoa, she was the retired original owner of Hilo Lunch Shop, and member of Hilo Association for Family &Community Education, Kanoelani Association and Heritage Christian Fellowship. Services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by son, Melvin (Lynette) Honda of Honolulu; daughter, Susan (Nelson) Fukuhara of Hilo; brother, Kunimitsu (Hatsumi) Yoshiwa of Pepeekeo; sister, Sumiko Kai of Honolulu; sister-in-law, Elsie Honda of Pahoa; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
