Moody Radio programming is back on the air at 91.9 FM in Hilo after a successful summer rebuilding project.
The Christian radio station temporarily suspended broadcasting May 31 because of a satellite signal change and returned to the air via a new Internet protocol program feed July 29.
The rebuild project also included replacing the broadcast FM antennas, transmission line and transmitter in the on-air chain. The 5-meter satellite dish underwent some rust remediation and re-painting by local volunteers before being reaimed to a new satellite feed, which now serves as a backup to the Internet program feed.
The new signal on 91.9 FM was increased in power from 40 watts to 250 watts and the antenna system has improved reception in homes and businesses.
Moody Radio programming includes Christian preaching, teaching, talk and music.
