Hawaii Electric Light Co. said there will be a lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Highway 190) in North Kona near the 20-mile marker in the area of Big Island Country Club and Pu‘u Lani Ranch in Puuanahulu.

Hawaii Electric Light Co. said there will be a lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Highway 190) in North Kona near the 20-mile marker in the area of Big Island Country Club and Pu‘u Lani Ranch in Puuanahulu.

The utility work is scheduled to begin today and expected to be completed by Wednesday, Dec. 23, weather permitting.

One lane of the roadway will be closed to traffic from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. daily to allow the company to relocate utility poles.

Motorists are advised to expect delays of up to 10 minutes and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
