Police are investigating a theft during the weekend from agricultural land along the Hamakua Coast.

Sometime between 1:30 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 a.m. Monday, $15,000 worth of tools and equipment, including two Honda generators, was stolen from land along Hawaii Belt Road (Highway 19) at the 38-mile marker in the Kalopa area.

Anyone with information about this case or the location of the equipment is asked to call the police nonemergency line at 935-3311.

Those who prefer anonymity can call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 and might be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
