Forty dedicated men working directly with the youth of Hawaii will be honored with the Presidential Volunteer Service Award at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mai’s Grill in Waikoloa.
The volunteers are members of Boys to Men Hawaii, a nonprofit founded in 2013. In that time, nearly 100 volunteer mentors have been certified statewide. Boys to Men Hawaii executive director Caleb Milliken will present the awards. The restaurant is located at 69-622 Waikoloa Beach Drive.
“Boys to Men Hawaii prides itself on the dedication, passion and commitment of our mentors who show up every week at schools around the Big Island to support the boys in our community to grow into healthy, mature and responsible men … because the world needs good men!” Milliken says.
