Robert Emil Dietrich, 87, of Kailua-Kona died Nov. 14 at home. Born in Cleveland, he was an equipment manager at Fort Hunter Liggett in California, U.S. Army veteran and member of Kona Masonic Lodge, Kona Shriner’s Club and Elks Club. No services. Memorial contributions to Hospice of Kona. Survived by stepsons, Michael (Rae) Godden of Kealakekua and Gilbert (Shirley) Vogt of Idaho; stepdaughters, Sharon Valine of Idaho, Virginia Madison and Janet (Al) Cariss of California; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Bruce Keigo Kawamura, 69, of Hilo died Dec. 7 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was civil engineer, owner of B.K. Inc., and member of Holona Golf Club. Jacqueline “Jackie” Claire Medley, 79, of Pahoa died Dec. 11 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Oakland, Calif., she was a social director and member of Puula Church, Red Hat Society-Puna and Pahoa Senior Center. The late Robert Joseph “Bobby” Teixeira is survived by, among others, sister Betty Beely of Honolulu. Her name was omitted in an obituary published Dec. 9.
