Students of the Kamehameha Schools-Hawaii Interact Club presented En Young, executive director of the Food Basket, with a check and a donation of nonperishable foods during a ceremony earlier this month at the school’s Keaau campus.

Students of the Kamehameha Schools-Hawaii Interact Club presented En Young, executive director of the Food Basket, with a check and a donation of nonperishable foods during a ceremony earlier this month at the school’s Keaau campus.

The Interact Club, with the help of art teacher Cyndi Bartels, presented a Halloween Haunted Hallway as a way to assist Hawaii Island’s food bank and fight hunger.

The two-day event raised $204 and 77 pounds of food was collected.
