Alfred Alatan, 90, of Pepeekeo died Dec. 13 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Kalopa, Hawaii he was a retired crane operator for the former Hilo Coast Processing Co. and member of the Good Shepherd Mission Catholic Church and Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Visitation 8-10 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 29) at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou. Mass at 10 a.m. Burial at Alae Cemetery, section L. Casual attire; flowers welcome.
