Born in Olaa, he was a retired concrete mason for Isemoto Contracting Co., former bishop of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Pahoa Ward, member of Hawaii Masons and Plasterer’s Union Local No. 1 and Kalapana Ohana Association, and Hawaii Army National Guard veteran. Visitation 8-10 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 2) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery, Mormon section. Casual attire. Martina Nicolas Dela Cruz, 83, of Kapaau died Dec. 18 at Kohala Hospital.
