Lynne Nagaoka recently was named director of operations for the 555-room Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa.
In her position, Nagaoka will oversee all aspects of operations in the rooms division and food and beverage division.
“Lynne brings extensive hotel knowledge, a work ethic that is unmatched and a familiarity with Waikoloa that will allow her to have an immediate positive impact,” said Steve Yannarell, general manager of the Waikoloa resort.
In 1995, Nagaoka began her Marriott career at Kauai Marriott Resort where she was a convention services manager. She rose through the ranks and was promoted to director of guest services, human resources manager and director of human resources.
In 2007, she was appointed director of human resources at Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa and subsequently promoted to dual property director of human resources for the Waikoloa resort and Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa on Maui.
Nagaoka is active in the Hawaii Island community where she has served as a volunteer for nonprofit and charitable organizations, including Hawaii Lodging and Tourism Association Annual Charity Walk, Kapiolani Children’s Miracle Network, Relay for Life of Waimea and the Ironman World Championship triathlon.
In her spare time, Nagaoka enjoys traveling and spending time with her two children.
