Jonah Hurney added 14 points and Matura Vitorovic chipped in with 13 for Ka Makani, which didn’t start its season until Friday but now owns wins against Division I teams Hilo and the Waveriders (2-3).

Blaine Broberg scored 15 points to lead Kealakehe.

In JV, Kealakehe won 78-50.

Waiakea 94, Laupahoehoe 27: Noah Ferreira led four Warriors in double-figures with 19 points, and host Waiakea blistered the nets in the first quarter, scoring 44 points.

Shaun Kojima tallied 12 points for the Warriors (5-0), and Calvin Mattos and Nigel Henry each added 11.

Kadan Stamm scored 10 points for the Seasiders (0-3), who hit the court for the first time this season after two previous forfeits.

Kohala 53, Pahoa 41: Maui Hook’s 13 points Monday night at Hisaoka Gym and Kahua Kualii’s 10 helped the Cowboys even their record at 3-3.

Keinan Agonias led all scores with 17 points for the short-handed Daggers (2-2) and Keali Luis had 11.

Pahoa coach Marc Saito said his team had only three players on the court for much of the fourth quarter after players fouled out.
