Three people were injured in a midday Sunday collision of an all-terrain vehicle on the slopes of Mauna Kea, the fire department said Sunday.
The crash occurred in the Keanakolu area, according to a written statement, and rescue and medical units from Pohakuloa Training Area responded, assisting county firefighters.
According to a written statement, one of the three was taken by county helicopter to Hilo Medical Center, while the other two were transported by ambulance.
There was no report on their injuries or conditions.
