Jean Yuriko Kawachi, 85, of Hilo died Jan. 8 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born in Pahala, she was a retired sales clerk for Ben Franklin Stores. Services held. Mikiko “Miki” Helen Meyer, 87, of Mountain View, formerly of Wahiawa, Oahu, died Jan. 8 at home. Born in Sendai, Japan, she was a retired bartender at Dot’s Restaurant in Wahiawa. Private services.
