UH used an 18-7 lead to grab control of the game late in the first half and finished with a dominating 52-27 edge in rebounds.
The Wahine face Cal State Northridge on Saturday.

Stijn van Tilburg tallied a team-high 14 kills and Sinisa Zarkovic added 12 kills for UH (5-1), which hit .264 and handed the Lopes (5-1) their first loss.
The teams match up again Friday.
