The festival also will include a Jeff Hunt Surfboards Fashion Show during the 6 p.m. intermission.

Local footage of skateboarding and Big Island surfers taking on last year’s hurricane swells will be shown. Look for Puna surfer and lifeguard Kainoa Hauanio launching airs in waves of consequence shot by Big Island filmmaker Shawn Pila.

There also will be several recently released feature-length surf films, such as “View from a Blue Moon,” featuring Oahu North Shore’s John John Florence and friends.

There will be prize giveaways throughout the night, with merchandise from Jeff Hunt Surfboards and vendors.

Tickets are $10 in advance and are available at Jeff Hunt Surfboards, 15-2883 Pahoa Village Road, or by calling 965-2322. Tickets will be on sale at the door for $12.
