Casey Yamauchi batted 5 for 5 with two RBIs, and the Waiakea Pirates blanked the Corsairs 10-0 in an AJA Memorial Baseball game Sunday at Wong Stadium.
Bryce Onaga added three hits and Onan Masaoka pitched four scoreless innings for the win. Cody Urasaki threw three innings in relief for the Pirates (5-1).
Jamison Hirayama pitched two innings in the loss for the Corsairs (0-5).
In the other game, Christopher Aiona batted 6 for 6 with three RBIs, and B.I.B-Mana defeated the Keaukaha Warriors 16-8.
Jacob Igawa and Micah Chinen each added three hits while Baron Victorino, Kobie Kinzie and Brett Komtasu had two hits each for the Warriors (4-2).
Noah Higa-Gonsalves pitched six innings for the win for B.I.B-Mana (2-4). Kinzie fired two scoreless innings in relief.
Komatsu went two innings and took the loss.
Through Sunday, Kawazoe leads the league in hitting with a .611 batting average (11 for 18) while Yamauchi is second at .591 (13 for 22). Mike Sayaboc, Waiakea Pirates, is third at .588 (10 of 17).
Masaoka (4-1, 1.75 ERA) leads the league in pitching while Cortney Arruda, Keaukaha Warriors, (3-1, 0.75) is second.
On Sunday, it’s B.I.B.-Mana vs. Corsairs at 10 a.m., followed by Pirates vs. Warriors at 12:30 p.m. at Wong.
Keaau, Kamehameha win in BIIF hoops Thursday

Kamehameha 32, Ka’u 18: The Warriors (5-3) won on senior night to move into first place in Division II, one game ahead of Kohala.
The Trojans ended the regular season 2-8. Ka’u likely is in line for the No. 3 seed in the BIIF semifinals and a possible rematch with Kamehameha.
In a JV game Friday, Kamehameha beat HPA 33-11.
