HONOLULU — Stefan Jankovic scored 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds to help Hawaii win its eighth straight on Saturday night, 78-62 over UC Davis.

Quincy Smith added 18 points, Isaac Fleming scored 13 and the Rainbow Warriors (16-2, 5-0 Big West Conference) tied UC Irvine atop the conference standings.

Hawaii went on an 8-0 run to lead 49-41 on Isaac Fleming’s jumper at 14:12 and stretched it to 66-53 with 7:11 left. UC Davis (7-11, 2-3) never got back within single digits.

Josh Fox had 25 points and eight rebounds and Brynton Lemar added 12 points.

The Aggies trailed 37-35 after closing the first half with eight straight points and tied it with the first basket of the second half. The Aggies tied again at 39 and 41 but never pulled in front.

Wahine lose

Cal State Northridge’s Channon Fluker scored 31 points, including a layup that put UH down for good midway through the fourth quarter, spurring the Matadors to a 63-60 victory in Northridge, Calif.

Fluker hit the baskets as Northridge (3-16, 1-4 Big West) went on an 11-2 run to take a six-point lead with 3:01 left in the game.

Megan Huff led the Rainbow Wahine (10-9, 3-3) with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
