Kysen Datuin scored 11 points at Honokaa Armory, and Austyn Ah Choy and Jonathan Charbonneau added 10 and nine, respectively, Saturday as the Honokaa cruised past St. Joseph 67-39 to extend their lead atop BIIF boys basketball Division II.
The Dragons (7-3) moved 1 1/2 games ahead of Hawaii Prep (5-4) in first place, with two regular season games remaining this week at Waiakea and Pahoa.
Manato Fukuda scored a game-high 22 points for the Cardinals (5-5), who have lost two in a row but remain in third place in D-II. Cole DeSilva scored 12.

Hilo 47, Pahoa 44: Isaac Liu scored 14 points and Lawrence Padasdao added 13 as the Vikings held off the Daggers, strengthening their grip on the final playoff spot in Division I.
The Vikings (6-5) can clinch the No. 4 seed on Tuesday with a win at Keaau, or if Kealakehe loses a home against Konawaena.
Keinan Agonias scored 21 points for the Daggers (4-5), who remained a game ahead of Kohala for the final playoff spot in Division II.
